Who we are
Energy Advocate Carolinas LLC (“we,” “us”) is an independent community outreach organization based in North Carolina. We are not a government agency. Energy Saver NC is administered by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (and other program administrators as applicable). We help households understand public information about the program and navigate optional next steps.
What this website is for
This website is a tool to help you learn whether you may qualify for program-related home energy improvements and, if you choose, to request follow-up so we can help you understand options and connect with appropriate program resources.
Information we collect
Eligibility screening (tier check). Depending on how you use our tools, you may be able to check eligibility using inputs such as household size, income, and county. That process does not require your name, phone number, email, or street address to see your tier result.
Optional contact information. If you decide to continue past your tier result, you may choose to provide:

- Phone
- Street address (optional)
- City (optional)
- ZIP (optional)
Why we use it
We use information you submit to respond to your request for help, contact you about Energy Saver NC–related assistance and next steps you asked about, confirm service area or program fit when helpful, and coordinate follow-up you requested.
How our business works. We are a private company. When you choose to share contact information, it allows us to provide assistance and operate sustainable outreach. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing.
If you do not submit contact information
You may still use the eligibility screening portions of our tools without providing name, email, phone, or street address. If you do not submit contact information, we may not be able to follow up with you individually.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers who help us operate our website, email, or phone systems (under confidentiality or processing terms), and with program-related parties only as needed to help you with steps you requested.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No internet transmission is 100% secure.
Retention
We keep contact information as long as needed to provide assistance and for ordinary business records, unless a longer period is required by law or you ask us to delete it (subject to legal exceptions).
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your contact information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your request.
Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do.
